Elisa Romanoc

Elisa Romanoc (Mexico City, 1983) studied Interior Design and since 1995 she ventures into art by attending classes at the Moisés Nifco Studio. Since 2002 and to date she has been part of the Beth Israel workshop of Víctor Martínez and Elisa Álvarez. In 2014 she won first place in MADA (Make a Difference Award) at the Commffest Art in Toronto, Canada.

Her work reflects her obsession with experimenting with all kinds of techniques and styles, which she mixes with her own language in which various aesthetic formulas coexist ranging from abstraction and pop art; to an appropriation of figurative aesthetics, whose representations reveal a constant questioning of the status quo of things.

She develops Arte Objeto, being awarded at the Arte Vivo Fundación Arte Vivo auction, JUMEX Museum, Mexico City (2020), as well as for the bottled water brand Zoe, Art will save us (2020).

She has participated in various group exhibitions in Mexico, the United States, Italy and Canada, such as La Feria de Arte Bada mx 2020 first edition, Campo Marte, Mexico City (2020); Pop Up Expierience 2019, National Conservatory of Music; This is Epic, Puebla (2019); Art and the polis, X Biennale Internazionale d’Arte Contemporanea di Firenze, Florence, Italy (2015); Commffest (PanAm) International Art Exhibition, The Rotunda Hall, Toronto, Canada (2014); Second Great Yom Yerushalaim Art Exhibition, Maguen David Community Center, Mexico City (2003). Individually, her exhibitions Living, at the Live Aqua Hotel, Mexico City, and Mont-King-Pop, at BAM Cultural Center and Mizrahi Cultural Center A.C., Monterrey, both in 2014, stand out.
